About
I am a Portland transplant, originally from the midwest, working primarily with traditional and contemporary print media. I received both my BFA and MA in printmaking from Minnesota State University Mankato in May 2020 and am currently an MFA candidate at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR in the print Media department expecting to graduate May 2025.
I make delicate prints of otherwise complex scenes of flora and fauna. My work is an obsession of the intricacies that lay within and around the forests and other natural areas. I explore the significance of otherwise mundane existence by capturing a small moment, focusing on details, textures and lighting. By encouraging a shift in focus, viewers are pushed to evaluate their own relationships with nature and how it corresponds to the duality of existence.
